ISSA 612 method
Retail Cleaning Cost Calculator
Estimate store cleaning from selling-floor square footage, hard floors, restrooms, trash, and interior glass. The retail preset keeps high-traffic storefront assumptions easy to edit.
Preset checked before publishing
The retail preset starts with 12,000 sqft, daily VCT service, restrooms, trash, and interior glass so storefront work is not priced like a quiet back office. Example table row: $2,004/mo, $0.167/sqft/month.

Common retail cleaning references often show $0.11- $0.20/sqft but do not always label monthly vs. per-visit math. CleanScope shows both; it does not inflate the engine output.
How this estimate is calculated+
ISSA 612 task times
Hours come from seeded production-rate rows, not a hidden multiplier.
Transparent assumptions
Default overhead is 10%; profit is 15%; labor burden uses the selected state profile.
Same engine path
The public tool calls the same pure calculation engine used inside CleanScope proposals.
Calculation method
How the estimate is calculated
Retail bids are sensitive to customer traffic, glass, front-of-house floor appearance, and service timing. CleanScope calculates the routine work first so the operator can add special floor care separately.
Task hours
Square footage is divided by the matching ISSA production rate. Restrooms use fixture counts instead of square footage.
Monthly workload
Each task is multiplied by the selected cleaning frequency, such as daily, weekly, or monthly.
Burdened labor
Base wage is adjusted for FICA, SUTA, and workers comp using the selected state labor profile.
Contract price
The engine adds 10% overhead and 15% profit, then returns monthly and annual contract value.

FAQ
Retail cleaning calculator questions
How do I estimate retail cleaning cost?+
Use selling-floor square footage, floor type, trash volume, restroom fixture counts, glass scope, and cleaning frequency. The calculator turns those inputs into monthly labor and price.
Does retail cleaning include floor stripping or waxing?+
No. The public retail preset estimates routine service. Periodic strip-and-wax or machine scrub work should be scoped as an add-on.
Why does interior glass affect retail cleaning price?+
Storefronts and display areas often need more visible glass care than offices. The calculator separates that task so it does not disappear inside a flat square-foot price.
